What is the process of making chloroquine Taking methotrexate and plaquenil Fishman chloroquine phosphate

Feb 19, 2020 Plaquenil hydroxychloroquine is an antimalarial medication used to treat or prevent malaria, a disease caused by parasites, which enter the body through the bite of a mosquito. Plaquenil is also used to treat symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and discoid or systemic lupus erythematosus. It alters your immune system, but as far as I know, it doesn't actually suppress it. Plus, if you have only been on it a month, it's probably not built up enough in your body to have much of an effect. I have actually been way HEALTHIER than ever since being on Plaquenil AND Methotrexate, which DOES suppress the immune system - go figure! Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine can inhibit certain cellular functions and molecular pathways involved in immune activation, listed below, partly by accumulating in lysosomes and autophagosomes.

Today, it is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, some symptoms of lupus, childhood arthritis (or juvenile idiopathic arthritis) and other autoimmune diseases. Hydroxychloroquine is in a class of medications that was first used to prevent and treat malaria.

There are other drugs similar to Plaquenil Prednisone, Methodextrate, etc but he will face the same risks with all of them. All work by suppressing the immune system.

Hydroxychloroquine, an antimalarial drug, is traditionally used in the treatment of SLE. Its effectiveness in treating APS has been previously questioned. In vitro and in vivo studies showed a beneficial effect of hydroxychloroquine on thrombosis 121–124. Combining telbivudine Tyzeka and hydroxychloroquine may increase the risk of unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness because both drugs cause such side effects. Hydroxychloroquine suppresses the immune system and should not be combined with drugs that also suppress the immune system or live vaccines. Any one have any experience or info regarding pre-existing precancerous conditions and the effects of Plaquenil on the immune system. I see so much info on the net where some says that Plaquenil has very mild effect on immune system except for eye issues --- Other info says it is an immunosuppressant.
